Principal's Corner

July 28, 2025

Dear Timberline Families,

Welcome back to a new school year! It is hard to believe that summer is coming to an end, but here we are, less than a month away from the first day of school for the 2025-26 school year. I am excited to reconnect with the students and be a part of their educational journey, and I am honored to serve as your principal.

We have made some updates to our building this year, as well. Our cafeteria received some improvements, including a new sound system and a large television screen, to enhance our students’ lunch experience. These improvements have been made thanks to a grant for our Child Nutrition program. Efforts are also currently underway to update the mural on the exterior wall of our gymnasium, thanks to the generosity of the Timberline Alumni Foundation. New carpets have been installed in the main building entrances, and our maintenance staff has been hard at work, keeping our school beautiful. We take great pride in our facilities here at Timberline!

As we begin the new school year, I want to remind families that one of our schoolwide goals at Timberline is for every student to maintain at least 90% attendance. Consistent attendance is essential for academic success and helps students stay on track both socially and emotionally. Our mission—to prepare students for excellence in academics and distinguished citizenship—can only be fully realized when students are present and engaged in their learning. We ask for your partnership in this effort: please ensure your child attends school regularly, stay in close communication with their teacher(s), and check in frequently on their progress. Your involvement makes a powerful difference in your child’s success and in building a strong, supportive school community.

At the end of this letter, you will find important information about registration for classes. Please read the information carefully in order to ensure that your child’s schedule for the year is set and they have a smooth first day of school. There is also information about our Back to School night, which is a great opportunity for students to get mentally prepared to begin class later in the week. Back to School night will offer an Open House and chance to meet the teachers as well as yummy treats, door prizes, and an opportunity for you to gather information about ways to contribute to your child’s school year, extracurricular activities, and more.

Please stay connected with us through our Facebook page, Instagram, website, and on Skyward (student grades, attendance, etc).  From time to time, we publish photos of students and staff engaged in fun and unique activities on our social media.  Please notify the office if you would like to have your child’s photo excluded from any publications.
